Scale Models

"Scale Models" includes all the models that don't readily fall into the more specific sections below. The club has members who sail Tugs, Lifeboats, Barges, small speed boats, Paddle Steamers to mention a few.

Lifeboats are always popular and there are a wide range of model kits to choose from.

Naval craft are a good choice for the modeller who likes a detailed finish and has lots of patience! A few are made from scratch after lots of research but a very wide choice of kits are available in all sizes, some up to 10 feet long. The club has two very large warships and hopes to get them up and running for the 2022 summer sailing season.

All of the above are working and sailing models but building a static is also great fun and very engaging. Most kits do not need much in the way of specialist tools but the skill needed in abundance is patience!!
